Ayatollah Araki warns: KSA turning to Muslim dispersion base
Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, attended the presser on the achievements of the 29th Islamic Unity Conference, extending condolences over execution of Saudi Shia cleric, Sheikh Nimr, saying that the incident is proof for all out efforts of the Saudi government against Islamic Unity activities.
He said,” This incident, following the 29th Islamic Unity Conference, is proof for Saudi all out efforts against Islamic unity and we have to introduce this ugly face of the Saudi government to the world.”
The cleric called KSA as a means of the enemies and said the major objective of Saudi Arabia is spread of dispersion and chaos in the world of Islam.
He referred to a letter from the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought for the Saudi king and said,” In that letter we had demanded him for a single step in line with Islamic proximity and prevent execution of Shia cleric Sheikh Nimr as a cooperative sign to prevent Islamic proximity.” and added that the king had been warned against the negative outcomes of execution of the Shia scholar for the world of Islam.
The cleric added that although Saudi Arabia was aware of the crime it was committing and that it would be followed by wide reactions among Muslims, they did not prevent the execution of Sheikh Nimr and this move is a proof that Saudi Arabia is the hub of Muslim dispersion in the world.”
He called all Muslim states to condemn the recent execution of Sheikh Nimr in line with boosting Islamic solidarity and noted,” Saudi Arabia is making much effort to create dispersion in the world of Isalm including its support for intriguing Shia and Sunni-run media.”
Ayatollah Araki noted that many of the Shia media which are publishing extremist and intriguing anti-Sunni materials are backed by Saudi Arabia same way that the Sunni media which are responsible for spread of anti-Shia materials.
Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought also denounced the Arab kingdom for its support for terrorist and extremist groups in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and Pakistan noting that many of the schools which train terrorist forces are Saudi-run educational centers.
The cleric expressed regret that even Al Azhar University is influenced by Saudi government and said,” Al Azhar has always been a center of Islamic unity in the world and we expect the Islamic academy to follow the unifying objectives of luminaries like Sheikh Shaltut.”
The religious figure also expressed gratitude for the organizations, institutions and the media which contributed greatly to the 29th Islamic Unity Conference and said probably the positive outcomes of the conference inspired the US to impose new limitations on trips to Iran.
Participated by 350 guests from across the globe and 350 Iranian figures, 29th Islamic Unity Conference with the theme of the solutions to the current crises in the world of Islam was held in the Iranian capital of Tehran on 27-29 December, 2015.
